The American retail giant Costco has announced plans to open several new stores across the United States by 2025.

According to Costco, the upcoming stores will feature spacious layouts, with some locations spanning up to 147,000 square feet. The retailer has identified several sites for expansion, including Brentwood, California; Genesee County, Michigan; Highlands, California; Prosper, Texas; Sharon, Massachusetts; and Weatherford, Texas.

Enhanced Security Measures

In response to increasing theft incidents, Costco plans to implement stricter security protocols at its stores. These measures include introducing membership card scanners at store entrances to enhance security and streamline customer entry.

Costco operates as a membership-based wholesale club, offering a wide range of products at discounted prices. Its business model focuses on bulk sales at lower prices, benefiting customers who pay an annual membership fee for exclusive access to deals and savings.
